What's new
Why it matters
Know how many beneficiaries in a state or county are in Original Medicare, not just how many chose Medicare Advantage.
See estimated Medigap share by parent and marketing organization down to the county level, and which plans are driving it.
Put MA, Part D, Original Medicare, and Med Supp side by side to spot markets that are saturated and markets with room to grow.
As MA plan exits push members back to Original Medicare, track where Original Medicare and Medigap enrollment are shifting.

Data Sources
Medicare Advantage and Part D enrollment and penetration data are sourced from CMS Monthly CPSC Enrollment and Penetration files. Original Medicare enrollment is sourced from CMS Medicare Monthly Enrollment files, which typically lag the current month by about four months. Medicare Supplement data is based on the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Medicare Supplement Experience Exhibit (year-end) with permission, with updates incorporated periodically between April and October, typically about three times per year. The NAIC does not endorse any analysis or conclusions based upon the use of its data. In some instances, NAIC data is supplemented with company Annual Statement data and carrier reports filed with the State of California. County-level and monthly Medicare Supplement enrollment figures are estimates calculated by Medicare Market Insights from Original Medicare enrollment data and should not be interpreted as reported values.
