August ‘25 MA/MAPD enrollment observations

1/ MA/MAPD enrollment count growth lags last year, August growth flat.

  • MA/MAPD enrollment count grew another 87,412 (July '25 - Aug. '25)

  • Down slightly compared to 88,050 growth last year (July '24 - Aug. '24)

  • YTD MA/MAPD enrollment count up 1,043,995 (3.07%) YTD (Dec. '24 - Aug. '25)

  • down compared to last year 1,589,116 (4.94%) (Dec. '23 - Aug. '24)

2/ UnitedHealth Group outpacing the rest of the market in 2025 (excluding acquisition growth)
