Medicare Market Insights 2025 Recap

Happy New Year Medicare Market Insights readers!

This week’s issue is different than normal. No deep dive on a Medicare topic. Instead I wanted to spend some time looking back on 2025.

It’s easy to get into the grind of producing content and forget to look back and reflect on the past year.

Milestones

Medicare Market Insights first launched in July 2023. Up until this year, all of the growth had been organic with most subscribers coming via LinkedIn, Facebook and referrals. While those sources continue to be a primary source of subscriber growth, we did test out using Meta ads with great success!

2025 was the second full year of publishing the newsletter and it’s fulfilling to look back at the results.

Subscribers

• Subscribers at the beginning of 2023 → 0

• Subscribers at the end of December 2023 → 1,766

• Subscribers at the end of December 2024 —→ 4,700

• Subscribers at the end of December 2025 ——→ 9,100 (93% growth)

Publications

• Number of newsletters published in 2023 → 24

• Number of newsletters published in 2024 —→ 59

• Number of newsletters published in 2025 ——→ 67

  • (this includes 18 publications only available to MMI+ subscribers)

  • NOTE: MMI+ subscribers also get access to the Insurance Regulatory Insights newsletter which sent out 21 publications in 2025

Email/Website/LinkedIn Stats

→ Over the course of 2025:

• 338,100 emails were delivered 

• 188,800 emails were opened

• 21,100 links were clicked.

→ In addition, my (Jared) LinkedIn posts generated 2,100,000 impressions over the last year!

This is all very humbling and motivating!

Medicare Market Insights - Plus

This was the first full year of Medicare Market Insights - Plus (MMI+). 

Subscribers get access to Members only content, the Medicare Advantage Enrollment Web Application, Insurance Regulatory Insights, and other eBooks and datasets.

Here is everything we added to the MMI+ subscription during 2025:

• Insurance Regulatory Insights - Monthly email summarizing all of the regulatory activity happening at the state and federal levels impacting Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and other Supplemental Health products.

• Medicare Enrollment Insights web app features added.

  • Trends - Now you can see how MA & PDP enrollment has changed over time. By State, Parent Org, Plan Type and more…

  • Commissions - A new feature now lets you analyze non-commissionable and modified commissionable plans across the country. See how much current membership is in those plans, and view the specific contract and plan IDs. Quickly understand how “popular” those plans really are.

  • 2026 Crosswalk Opportunities - See where plan terminations and service area reductions are happening - along with current enrollment in those affected plans. Spot which markets have the most people shopping this AEP.
